That person is apparently also a partner, so I don't know if there's a way out.
    Is he the managing partner?

Didn't realize she was an owner, she definitely (mis)treated customers like she owned the place.

I doubt whether the OK would have agreed to give certification to any place that she runs at this point.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Think this drops the price of the local heimishe companies?
    It certainly should.

With Enterprise Chabad corporate, a Compact car starts at ~$54 a day and ~$77 for a Minivan.
Village Car Rental (that place on East New York) starts at $~81 a day for a Midsize and ~$98 for a Minivan.
Prices above are with taxes included.

Fine, Village is owned by Yidden, is more local and offers after hours services. But that's no reason to charge $25+ a day more, especially since Enterprise offers pickup and dropoff service, and you get credits towards status and free days.

After hours service? Not IME. In fact, one Friday they were closed when the site said they were open and I had a reservation, almost leaving me stranded for Shabbos. (Kabakov came through with a car with a seat unable to be moved. Lucky I was tall enough.)

Since their ownership changed, their service has dropped. With Enterprise, I won't worry about cars needing services and oil changes, window and other minor controls not working. Or if that does happen, I will get compensated in kind, and not told to suck it up. (At least that's what I assume they are telling me, my Hebrew isn't great.)

My info about them was from what I remember of the initial article about them when they first opened. Never deemed it worth trying them out due to their lack of competitive pricing (although I think it used to be cheaper when they first opened, but still not as cheap as Hertz vouchers).

How much does Kabakov charge for cars nowadays?

Kabakov charges 70 - the same as village (Your pricing was a little off for midsize, it's $72 with taxes)
Biton has not returned a text or whatsapp in months, does he still rent?

Though it is usually not an issue, the local guys have a 150 p/day mileage limit compared to Enterprise's unlimited.

IME, I've only ever been able to use Hertz vouchers at LGA, aside from *one* time in the city (when I bought them from you  :) ) - never in Brooklyn.

Basically, the heimishe car rental business in CH leaves much to be desired. In Borough park I can get a car for $50 a day inc tax.

Oh, and everyone charges for Shabbos.

Basically, the heimishe car rental business in CH leaves much to be desired.
Not to mention the parking problems they cause by hogging street parking.

IMHO if a car is used commercially, it should not be allowed to park overnight on the street (oh, and BTW, that happens to be the law. But that law doesn't define as such "mitzvah tanks", taxis, and understandably - rental cars). However, it is only right that if a vehicle is used as a direct means of generating income, that it should be parked (when not in active use) off the public streets.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!
