I dunno, I mean when I found out they were closed they apparently had been closed for months. When no one even realizes they are closed, maybe they weren't doing so well

I don’t really get his immediate strategy. He hasn’t done much with Kingston Pizza, I’d say things have gotten worse since he bought it. It does explain how some staff from EG appeared at Kingston Pizza.

Before he bought it they had probably the worst pizza of any pizza shop I've been to. You can barely call it edible.

Once he bought it they really turned it around and started making really good pizza. Although the credit for that surely goes to his partner there -the guy who owns Dagans, I forget his name.

See, I was under the impression that the Dagan guy took over (and the pizza became edible), and then it sold to Benabou.

In any case, the pizza is good but I don't feel like they're monetizing the pizza quality or the location.

Yup, it's legit good pizza now, not just good pizza in the way that any pizza is good pizza because pizza is good

Benabou is like covid, there's no precedent to understand how he functions. I mean he has a massive amount of prime real estate on Kingston Ave being used for storage.

Generally speaking I agree with you, although lately (IIRC starting even before covid) I think they haven't been as consistent as they used to be. Holesome bagels gives them a run for their money, although they're even less consistent.

That's news to me. I haven't touched holesome in a while. It was sweet and virtually inedible. Did they change?

Kingston pizza is the best in ch. Benny's was a runner up. When to comes to holesome aka sause and cheese... Frozen pizza is way better.
