Or even simpler, make it a normal thing to meet in people's living rooms :)

Some frum (chassidish) lubavitchers believe in this, at least for the first date. So as to start off in a chassidish house/environment.

Why isn't there a push to transform President into "snow" parking?

    Trying to throw salt....?

There was at least one shidduch (possibly more, not sure at the moment) that had dates in my guest suite daily rental. However, my own daughters turned down the offer to have dates there.

NYC law forbids overnight parking of commercial vehicles on residential streets. There's logic behind that. If a vehicle is used for business purposes (rather than just commuting to work) part of the cost of doing business would be paying for a place to park it overnight. Residents should have space on their street available to them.
So basically you're saying you can have two neighbors with the same car, both leave to work in the morning and come home and park in the evening. The one who parks his car in a parking lot at his office during the day should be able to park when he gets home but the one who uses the car for work should not be able to park. I disagree.

Maybe he's sensitive to relatives  ;)
    lol

I notice you didn't touch on the third rail I dared mention.
I actually wasn't intentionally avoiding it, I just think it's basically the same as everything else. Maybe if I lived right there I would have more of an issue with it but it's basically a non-issue for me personally ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Since covid hot and killed the tlc rental business, they started renting their cars on a weekly and monthly basis to non tlc drivers.

But if Kate they stopped doing that and list their cars for short term rentals on the Getaround app

Most bochrim (at least my friends) didn't have who to ask and ended up renting most of the time. It was really starting to add up and it would take a whole day of headspace being hopefull the car would be there (or need to leave work early to go pick up a car from a more reputable rental place).

Also to add, they give the ability to rent by the hour which is very convenient.

Hertz in Park slope has been a disaster since Corona, the wait time has been horrendous. Enterprise seems to not have any cars over the weekend.

I had lots of experience with biton from released time and mizoim that I learned how to deal with them.

To clarify, I agree with you that businesses should not be parking their vehicles on residential streets. However, I think people should generally be able to park their vehicle by their house even if it is a work vehicle.
Although once you get to bigger vehicles like trucks or mitzvah tanks things start to get questionable.

Hertz barclays center isn't really further, and I've heard that its not such a mess.

You gotta learn how to work with these people if you want to have a smoother experience. :)

Where do you draw the line when it comes to size? How about if a person's business was (hypothetically) a food cart, should that be allowed to park on a residential street?

How about if they can't find parking by their house and park a block away on a different residential block?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Unfortunately that's just part of "by their house" in NYC..  :(
