Anyone have experience disputing a rental car charge for not getting car class you reserved?
I reserved a mid size suv- they offered me either a sonata or Subaru xv, neither are close to a mid size suv.
Dispute and you will get blacklisted. Doesn’t matter the reason.

If they don’t have your car size available, they are supposed to offer you an upgrade, not a downgrade (unless that’s all that’s really available).

I don't care to be blacklisted from them-plenty of 'other rental companies.
They claim that these cars are in the class I reserved even though my confirmation clearly says mid-sized suv.
This was in israel, not sure it if that matters or not.

Car sizes are different in Israel then the US.

Did you take a car from them or not? If yes, how is it not stealing to dispute the full charge?

If you didn’t like the cars offered, you could’ve gone to any other company or not rented.

An suv is an suv, that's indisputable.
I did take the car because I was left with no choice, besides for having spent over an hour already with them, and if I would have left I would have been charged a cancellation fee.

I would prefer not to need to dispute, I reached out to them to resolve and asked for a partial refund equal to the difference between the car class I reserved and got.

That's what I thought, they wouldn't hear it.
I called central customer service to give it one last shot before disputing.

Did you use a travel agent? When renting cars in Israel, usually the best way to go is through an agent. There a quite a few that specialize in Israel car rentals.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Regretfully No. I got a quote from one and he was  $50 more than what I had found online.  In retrospect would have been worth the extra 50 for smooth transaction.

Is there a time that it's worthwhile not to dispute and just fargin the gelt? (eg. a product sold by a tzadakah org. never comes)

IMO, Definitely give them more leeway, but why fargin it entirely? They offered you something which you bought. If you had wanted to stam donate to them, then you would have done so. Just b/c they are a tzedaka org doesn't mean they can go around promising things and not fulfilling them...

Thanks. While I was waiting they finally refunded the money that I requested without having to open a dispute.

My wife just purchased a gown using a chase CC. The gown was on the “sale” rack, she purchased it and after buying it she realized the zipper was broken and there was two holes in it. She went back to the store to try and resolve the issue but they wouldn’t do anything because it was on the sale rack which is final sale. Can I dispute the charge or use my purchase protection?

If this was a regular store and there was no indication anywhere (in the store or on the back of the receipt) that final sale merchandized includes returned or damaged goods, if the labels were attached, and there was no indication/note of the damage on the label, then I would dispute, though I’m not sure you’ll win a dispute. Would also inquire with purchase protection because why not.

I bought something on ebay with free returns, but ebay closed my account b4 I had a chance to request a return.
What is the best way to go about here, dispute? Any other suggestion?

You should not dispute the charge, since it will only hurt the seller not eBay. You should contact the seller directly (you can get their info through Paypal.) I am sure they will be happy to resolve the issue. I know how it feels from the sellers end, when there are chargebacks from customers that received the product without any issues..
