no you get a little chip from hertz and you call them up make a reservtion and go to the car just pass the chip over a space on the windshield and ur all set. Really cool hertzondemand.com for more info

I'm a member with them and zip. And have used both zip has cheaper rates and much more availability and locations. Price is better with zip too $40 from 6pm to 6am includes gas too and all cars come with ez pass.
But I don't recall that hertz didnt charge for the tolls

they charge for the acutall toll but no service fee. Is there a fee to be a member?

Does the car always come with a full tank?

FWIU, the person that had the car before me needed to return it with only a quarter tank. In that case, I wouldn't get any free gas. (Bec. I would need to put on at least a quarter before returning it)

I am a member got the chip, but I never used it... Didn't find much value over a typical rental from Hertz.
But as in your case, it may be worth it

I have rented from many airport locations (when traveling) but also a lot in Brooklyn. I have rented from the park slope location, but found that renting from Atlantic Avenue is better because of better cars and upgrades..
For a typical 24 hour rental in brooklyn, would On-Demand be better?

I believe HOD rates vary person to person (based on driving records?)
