Returns not showing up

Correct me if I am wrong (which I might be)  but do returns normally show up under pending charges for an Amex? I have returned a few things in the last week or so and not only have they not shown up on my Amex statement, but not even in the pending charges. I feel like these returns are usually 2-3 days at most

Do not show up in "pending," and some take longer than 2-3 days.

5-7 business days IMHO. Some may think shorter, some longer.
