Infant turning 2 before return flight
« on: February 27, 2012, 10:32:57 AM »
Was wondering if anyone had info on this.

If I book a round trip on Delta with FB, and have an infant turning 2 before I return, what is the deal?

Can I get an infant ticket, do I need to book a one-way back?

TIA

I believe you need a ticket for the way back.

some airlines charge a roudtrip child ticket if it turns 2 in middle of the flight. so check with your airline.... As they will only be able to issue the infant ticket for the roundtrip and its older then 2 for part of it, it cant be done

Right, but a oneway child ticket is more than a RT Adult with FB miles

I can only assume you are taking an International flight....because for Domestic, you don't need ID for the child....

if i remember correctly from when i had the same thing aa ba gave u a seat but all others said i gotta get a ticket for the child.
p.s. if ur flying an airline which tells u its free make sure u arrive early enough to the airport as the ppl at the checkin desk in my case (aa) didnt know about it and took a while till they understood me and got a manager ....
