unable to retreive aa gift cards??

tonight i went to print out the many aa gift cards i bought with the plat airline fees. when i click on get my card, for some of them i got this message:
"We are sorry but we have encountered a problem activating your American Airlines Gift Card. Please contact the sender of this card to advise them you were unable to retrieve your gift. We apologize for any inconvenience."

it was a while ago but to my knowledge, i bought them properly and got reimbursed from amex. anyone else ever get this?  :-\

I got this too. Check your statement, the reason is because AA refunded you the gift card, not sure why this is but it happened to a lot of us.

They cancel it because of suspected fraud. I find it happens when you just type a bunch of random letters to fill in the required fields, or using same email address etc.
Though, a great "MEHALECH" to get back your full Amex $200!

well that card has been canceled for a year and to my knowledge, they didnt refund me and i got refunded by amex for fee charges

This just happened to me, it seems AA refunded me as well as Amex. Anyone else have more recent experience with this?

 I bought 2 $100 American E GCs and there is no where to enter them to pay the taxes etc on an award . How and where do you pay ?
