WOW very cool! these kids have to feel so much pressure on them now, with all the national attention they have been getting. Sure hope they can pull off a win. Will the game be televised now? I would love to watch it...

The facilities in which the finals will take place are run by the Mansfield Independent School District, a government body for the purposes of the 1st amendment.

They also sued under a Texas state stature protecting religious liberties and breach of contract.

Apparently, according to TAPPS own rules, playoff game days and times are allowed to be adjusted by mutual agreement of the opposing teams.

As we know, the opposing team in this case offered to reschedule.

Gotcha, I wonder why that never made it to any of the news stories? Seems like the most critical part.

For those who are interested, Nat Lewin (who many may know from the Rubashkin appeal) helped with the lawsuit.

Ha, you think the goyim are going to respect our basketball prowess because Beren Academy (ranked 615th in TX and 7495th nationally) wins the Texas High School Class 2A state championship? Let's think back to the last time we were highlighted on the national stage for our basketball prowess... Yep, people now know us as being warriors on the court...

Apparently, TAPPS also falls under the purview of the 1st amendment being "the major state governing body overseeing secular and faith-based private-school sports and activities in the state."

"Unlike many people, TAPPS does follow the law, and we will comply," Burleson said, according to the Houston Chronicle. "We're trying to make those arrangements at this time. As soon as those arrangements can be made, we'll post those on our website."

Was he trying to hint that Beren didn't follow the law?

I, too, found that perplexing. Given the context, it seems unnecessary to the point that it sticks out like a sore thumb.
