El Al in August - when to book?

Hi. This is my first time posting here, so I apologize if there's any "forum etiquette" that I'm ignoring. We're looking to fly NYC-TLV in August, but the ticket prices are much higher than what we're used to paying (we usually fly in May, just before El Al's peak season and pay $1100-1200). In August, prices are $1600-1700! Should we wait to book in the hope that a summer special will come out or should we book now before prices increase even more (if that's even possible!)? You all seem like experts and I could really use some advice! Thanks in advance!

How much are United/Delta flights?

I flew last august if the price is already 1700 it can't go much higher you kight as well wait and hope for another 'glitch' if not book in may for the same 1700
