Just got an upgrade offer from BRG to Business Plat.

They'll give me 25K after first purchase (with no language of the new T&Cs).

The only downside is I don't want to lose my free first year of BRG (as it's my MR xfer key)...

I see that Amex has a reconsideration number on here, however, each time I call they simply say that they are not able to manually override the denial, and that they must do another hard pull.  Is Amex different than chase whereas chase reconsideration can actually approve you on the spot, while Amex cannot without another pull?

With Amex once they deny you for credit reasons. Usually the only way to get approved is to move credit over, else they will want to pull again.
