Forgot to Spend $ to Get Card Signup Bonus - What now?

I recently signed up for a Chase business ink card, but forgot to spend the money needed to get the bonus during the signup period.  Now that time has passed.  Can I call Chase, explain I forgot and ask them to give me a new period to spend the amount? Close the card and open a new one (but will it affect my credit score)?

Any advice appreciated! Hate to lose the free points.

PUTPAC or SM.  I know someone who got the points from Barclays(!) so with chase it's definitely worth a shot.

I got Amex to extend it for the SPG. Definitely worth a PUTPAC or SM with Chase.

This happened to me with Chase a few months ago. I tried and tried (via sm) but got nowhere. But it definitely doesnt hurt to try
