Funny part is that despite all the rumors they're bringing back the start menu, it turns out they're just bringing back the start 'button' - not the start 'menu'.
Meaning, when you click on start it will not open the menu, it just leads you to the tile screen.

Seriously? That's it? That's a bummer.

Happy to be with Windows 7 still.

But you can always download the old start menu as mentioned earlier in this thread.

I am looking into buying a new mini Laptop I have three options,
1. a Touchscreen windows 8, which uses a lot of battery.
2. A non-touch screen window 8.
3. A windows 7.

I don’t really need the touchscreen, I need the battery. Is it worth it to get an 8 w/o touch or stay with a 7, [is  8 that bad]?

If you do not need the touch screen, and the hardware is the same, IMO stay with Windows 7.

Just curious, does the touchscreen really use that much battery?
