I just downloaded Windows 8 and was wondering if any of you have it already? If so please share your opinions, tips etc.

It is still in the early stages of development, so there are defiantly going to be some bugs. The start menu is really amazing and the way you open apps is cool. You can flick  apps around the screen and it is in general much more graphical the the previous windows. As far as the cons, I have only had it installed for a couple of hour so i will take me a couple of days to see.

It is also kinda different so i am still working my way around.

didn't try it out, but seems like they replace their desktop OS ecosystem 9the one thing they did right) with a mobile-type OS (an area where they're clearly behind the pack)
when PC software needs to go through an app store/marketplace, we're in trouble

The desktop is the same as before! It's the start button that changed.

why are we in trouble, u think there won't be any free software? Believe me nothing will change, hackers won't go bankrupt.

the issue is not just free software, it muzzles software creation in general

First of all, its not the beta version it is the consumer review version. If you do install the Windows 8 be ready to experience bugs once in a while since its still in testing.

I see now that it has greatly diminished my battery life, as well as making my laptop heat up from working so much.

Tried out an Asus touch screen windows 8 yesterday. So far I'm not liking it. It's not windows to me anymore. I don't think I'll be upgrading my win 7.
