Worth keeping the miles around?

I have 70,000 Delta miles in my account and I am not sure if it's worth holding onto them if I don't plan on flying with them anytime soon. Should I wait for some sort of transfer promotion or do you think I should just sell them now?

When you say not flying with them, do you mean you won't be accumulating any more miles or you don't plan on redeeming them for travel?

Both. i plan on canceling my Delta c.c. soon.

Recently there haven't been any bonuses that will increase your milage. The transfer bonuses frequently allow you to BUY more miles at 1.1 CPM. If your trying to sell your miles, I would think the price is lower when you can buy them from DL themselves at 1.1. (The only reason the miles would be worth more is if someone doesn't have an acct with miles in it to start transferring, but thats not very likely to happen IMHO.)
If you'd like to book a flight, but need more miles, definitely pays to pay until you can buy the additional miles at 1.1.

same question for me, I have 200K delta and can't decide if I should keep it or not, not planning to cancel though, nor do I plan to fly with them or redeem.

+1 and while in general its hard to book low level award tickets with Delta they have saved me quite a bit of money a few times.
