Kevarim
Jewish cemetery near the Old Powazki. Established in 1809, it is one of the largest Jewish cemeteries in the world. Spread over an area of nearly 44,000 square feet (3160 square meters), the cemetery was left largely intact by the Nazis and includes the graves and tombs of a quarter of a million people, including the great Rabbanim of Warsaw as well as many secular giants in literature and the arts.

The Jewish Ghetto
The infamous Warsaw Ghetto, the scene of the only organized uprising.
On the left side of the Praga River, where the Ghetto used to be, you can visit several monuments commemorating the Jews of Warsaw, including the Monument over the Ghetto Heroes at Zamenhof Square, and Umschlagplatz, a memorial raised at the very spot where Warsaw Jews were gathered in 1943, loaded on cattle wagons and transported to the death camp at Treblinka. It is still possible to see how Jews lived in Warsaw ulica Prozna, a street left largely intact from before the Holocaust.

Anyone ever hear of the kosher hotel called Zakopane?

Any reviews?

Would there be nicer ways to spend an extended weekend near Krakow with easy access to minyanim and kosher food?

I'm trying to figure out if it would be nice experience to spend Succos in Poland. We want to spend time in Krakow and Zakopane with a visit to Lizensk (I'm a 10th generation descendant).
Where would the best place be for Yom Tov? We would want a nice Simchas Torah matzav.
I don't know if a lot of Yidden visit then, but a a decent size Heimish crowd would enhance the atmosphere.
I was told that Zakopane has a lot of Israelis and a minyan in the summer, but I"m not sure a lot of people leave EY to spend Succos in Poland.
Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks

If you want food, your best option may be Keresteer. (2 seperate places may have) Or Lizensk. Krakow restaurantsmay be open. Check with all of them who will have food  and Minyan.

There are very well priced tickets from tlv to Krakow in the summer, and we were thinking of spending a week in the Zakopane area.
the pictures online look amazing and so do the prices !
I am not expecting it to be the Swiss alps but does anyone here have personnel experience that can be shared -about the scenery, attractions and overall experience
thanks in advance!

Anyone have a link from Amazon or alike to get a SIM card to use in Poland for a basic flip phone?

All I need is calling and or texting to the US from Poland.

It used to be very easy to buy a sim card in the airport, but make sure their devices are compatible
