Had a four night stay at the Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem.
2 nights cash rate, 2 night points/certs.

Had housekeeping walk in twice when the do-not-disturb light was on.
Had a flickering light that had engineering come for an hour.

Compensation.
They originally offered 40,000 Hilton Points, but after one more email they offered a Be My Guest Cert.
You may not hold me responsible for any actions taken that were recommended from my account or username.

The fridge in our Marriott (Fairfield Inn & Suites) Suite was unplugged for some reason and the food we placed in it had to be thrown out. I do not think I am expected to pull the fridge out of its assigned cabinet below the counter to check if it was on. Who do I contact and how much should I ask for compensation? Thanks

you can usually feel the fridge to see if it is working. And you should do that always so you dont lose your food.

That's an excellent tip. I doubt, though, that Marriot has it in their T&Cs...

Ive been to dozens of hotels and never once did the the room have a fridge which was left unplugged. If it comes with a fridge, it is expected to be running

Im telling you this for yourself. It is not hard to check if it is running if you really care about your food. I was actually in a hotel this past weekend and the fridge was on but it was on low. Luckily I realized after 2-3 hours and had engineering come fix it. (The thermostat was not visible so I couldnt do it myself.

You might get compensation, you might not but that is not my point.
