Also I paid with points if that matters
Tell them that sorry doesn't cut it for you ;) just because you paid with points doesn't mean that your not entitled to hot water/compensation for that.

I emailed them he said that there is no record the hot water wasn't working. But admits there was a problem with phones. He also said i will not be refunded

same by me at a marriott 2 nights ago, no hot water & no phone service.I told the front desk when checking out, all they said is sorry

Hotel: Park Hyatt Paris
Year of incident: 2012
Status at time of incident: Diamond
Incident: Spa/Hot tub/Sauna was closed for renovations without any mention on the website or email until we arrived.  Kosher Breakfast included non-kosher items and the kosher items were not fresh and the hotel had gone from total accommodating us for breakfast last time to not caring at all this time (New F&B manager)
Compensation: 22K Points.
"I assure you that I will be in contact with the hotel's executive management team in an effort to address these concerns and to ensure that future guests do not experience the challenges that you have described."

Park Plaza Tel Aviv
Half of the bottom of our baby's crib fell out, she slid down, and her head go stuck btw the wooden bars and the mattress. This obviously kept e/o up for a while.
The first cs rep in the morning said there was nothing she could do besides apologize, and that the gm wasn't in. Later in the day, my m-i-l said it was unacceptable, and they finally didn't charge her for the room, which was $220 (which would have gained me 17k points). She also made my m-i-l sign a legal waiver that she waived all legal rights!!

I wasn't there w/ them, but I called up Carlson, explained what happened, and we'll see where this goes from here.

Thoughts? The waiver thing was very weird.
After not hearing from them in a while, I called them, and they had sent it to their legal department.
I explained that I'm not looking to turn it into a legal thing, but I want an apology and proper compensation.

Hotel: Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa
Year of incident: 2013
Status at time of incident: Platinum
Rate and Room Booked $390 Spa Package + Diamond Suite uprgade to 1-BR Suite.
Incident: a couple of dead moths in the room; disappointment with the AC system which could either be turned on or shut off, but not thermostat controlled; Regency Club closed for renovation with no notice.
Compensation: 2.5k for Club closure. 10K for the other concerns.
Note:The comments were in response to one of Hyatt's guest surveys and not a complaint per se.

Status at time of incident: Platinum
Rate and Room Booked: $170 (AAA Breakfast Rate) + Diamond Suite Upgrade
Incident: Temperature in the bedroom was significantly hotter than in the living room when set to a much lower temperature.  Mentioned it to the bell hop upon bringing my bags up and front desk a few times in which I was told an engineer will come to check the AC system.  Engineer never showed up.
Compensation: 10K Hyatt GP points.
Note: I mentioned the issue upon checking out to ensure future guests do not have a similar complaint.  Front Desk Manager was apologetic and offered the points. I have not received a guest survey regarding this stay.

incident: construction next door to hotel woke my kid up early in the morning
compensation: removed 35 fee for valet parking and gave me 6000 pts a free night is 12000
only gave half night since it was not really in the hotels control but they said they still want me to be happy and please come back when construction is done to fully enjoy

Rate and Room Booked: 3K SPG Points- Standard Room (staying Motzei Shabbos for 5 hours before early morning flight)
Incident: Shower was dirty upon arrival.  Alerted front desk rep who didn't seem to care.  Front desk rep's exacts respons was "I do not have time for this right now", as he continued playing a game on his cell phone.
