Hotel: The Westin Harbour TOronto,ON
Year of incident: 2013
Status at time of incident: Gold
Incident: Valet lost my car for 30 minutes.
Compensation: immediate refund of parking charge 45$ called later and was given back the 10k I spent on the stay.

Hotel: The Sheraton Pittsburgh hotel
Year of incident: 2013
Status at time of incident: Gold
Incident: Construction/drilling all over the hotel big water stains on the carpet
Compensation: 4500 point refund plus on my next visit i get automatic upgrade to the Presidential Suite.

Hotel: Homewood Suites Philadelphia- City Ave
Year of incident: 2013
Status at time of incident: Gold
Rate and Room Booked: 16,00 HHonors points + $65
Incident: Requested crib with reservation.  Called an hour prior to checking in to check pool times and crib request, was told cribs are available.  Upon checking in, was told no cribs have been available for 2 nights, was called a liar and hotel staff insisted on checking me in without any alternatives.  Called HHonors, was moved to a different hotel and shaved 2 hours off our trip.
Compensation: 2 free nights at hotel of incident and 35,000 HHonors points.

In addition, HHonors is granting me 2 nights at any Homewood Suites property.

If I used s/o else's platinum account for a stay at Hilton @ the falls, what type of compensation can I get for not getting any upgrade and wifi not working in room?
If I can get something, who should complain?

Not sure you can get compensation for not being upgraded.
For wifi not working, it is worth asking for compensation.

Hotel: Sheraton Syracuse University
Year of incident: 2013
Status at time of incident: Reservation was on wife's account with no status, i was a guest with Gold status.
Incident:To make things short, wasn't informed about parking fee, bathroom had a horrible odor, hotel tested fire alarm at 10am waking my son.
Compensation: 3500 points

I feel like i didn't get enough for my troubles.... that was given by the manager at the actual hotel via emailing SPG , should i try to SM Amex though my SPG account? TIA for any advice

Incident: Had front desk confirmation for kosher breakfast for 8 ppl and there was no kosher breakfast
Compensation: 2k SPG and no charge for the 2 club suites ($350 Value)
