Arrived at SLS on wed night after flight from JFK->LAX. Booked the SLS using 1,000 starpoints and reduced room rate of $299 for biz travel. They gave away my room because a group of people (read "celebrities and entourage") unexpectedly stayed an additional evening. Although they offered to put me up at their sister property, the Redbury in Hollywood, I was visibly upset. They offered me BMW service to and back from Redbury, comped the room at the Rebury (which was upgraded to a 1,200 sq ft suite) AND gave me 20,000 starpoints. Not bad for a mild inconvenience. Classy work by the SLS
