Incident: (1) No fitted sheets. Called to get new sheets, took 20 min to deliver more flat sheets. (even looked up how to say it in Hebrew and still got it wrong) (2) Stains on the carpet and furniture. (3) Paint in the bathroom was peeling. (4) Sliding door to porch did not slide. (5) Bed was dirty when we walked in.
Compensation: 4.5k SPG (I spent 3k on the night)
I didn't want to spk w a manager on premise so I chatted with SPG from my room. They forwarded a msg to the manager for me. Manager refunded 1k SPG points. Tweeted SPG to say I wasn't happy w only 1k. They refunded additional 2k to make the night free.
Afterward I saw that the manager did not "refund" my 1k, he "awarded" me 1k, which together w the double points promo and gold member benefit of 50% bonus on points earned, netted me total 2.5k SPG from the manager.
