Parents went to a hyatt place the other night.
My father slipped on the ice, bruised his knee, shoulder is hurting and ripped his suit.
Does have a bad shoulder and this is the type of thing that will really irritate it.
They did not put down salt before this happened.
Besides for getting the 2 nights free what else is a normal compensation to ask for?
Free night vouchers, check for the suit....??

If have an attorney in family or friend who is one have him make the call on your dad's behalf , as assume your dad was hurt and this negligence of "ice" warrants more then 2 free nites etc

Incident: Alarm clock went off in middle of the night.
Compensation: 100 dollar Hyatt Gift Card.
This happened to me recently - don't remember which hotel it was at. I meant to complain about it, but I forgot. Looks like I should have  :)

Year of incident: 2014
Status at time of incident: Gold
Incident: (1) Air condition leaked. (2) Broken toilet that they took 2 hours to fix and nothing. (3) Never cleaned the room properly. (4) Room was dirty when we arrived. (5) No managers available when needed.
Compensation: 5,000 SPG Points (Trying for more)

Hotel: LMDS
Year of incident: 2013
Status at time of incident: Gold
Incident: (1) No fitted sheets. Called to get new sheets, took 20 min to deliver more flat sheets. (even looked up how to say it in Hebrew and still got it wrong) (2) Stains on the carpet and furniture. (3) Paint in the bathroom was peeling. (4) Sliding door to porch did not slide. (5) Bed was dirty when we walked in.
Compensation: 4.5k SPG (I spent 3k on the night)

I didn't want to spk w a manager on premise so I chatted with SPG from my room. They forwarded a msg to the manager for me. Manager refunded 1k SPG points. Tweeted SPG to say I wasn't happy w only 1k. They refunded additional 2k to make the night free.
Afterward I saw that the manager did not "refund" my 1k, he "awarded" me 1k, which together w the double points promo and gold member benefit of 50% bonus on points earned, netted me total 2.5k SPG from the manager. 8)
