Stayed at W Times Square.

Hotel room was boiling. THe "AC" in the room was running on heat. We tried opening the window, but it wouldn't cool down the room plus there was jackhammering going on outside.

We woke up with headaches.

I emailed the manager and they sent 5K points back to my account.

We stayed two nights with the same problem - is this an acceptable compensation?
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

The manager threw a refund at me right away.  I think I'll take your advice and try to get my status upgraded from plat to diamond as well...

Thanks. Will do it tomorrow. I have three night stay at the Hyatt Regency TST Hong Kong and the internet was basically unusable. Took about 3 minutes to load google.com

Honestly the more I think about it I'd ask for more. Certain things are just unacceptable. And I'm not one to ask for compensation for every little problem.

IF u stayed a few nights ,I would ask for all of them to refunded ,if still at hotel have them "also" comp all ur dinners etc --- what would the Managers  reaction be if some at 4:00am   opened the door to his home -- people have been shot for things like that

I had a similar thing happen at a Hilton only difference ---it was about midnight and I was in the shower and my wife was in bed -- she screamed!!! and went  nuts ---since then she triple checks doors in every hotel we stay at  , that night she put a chair under the doorknob and we did not sleep all night because of the intrusion -- I THINK  HE DESERVES  big compensation
they give a free night or refund points for much less--- would like to see your reaction when something like this happens to your family -- easy  to be so big when it happens to others

Personally I'd expect a hotel to book me in another hotel and have a bellboy move my things. And I would think some sort of goodwill is appropriate as well. But you can't demand that from a Hyatt Regency.
