Maybe its cuz of the rumors, but I'm a bit underwhelmed.

The only thing the competition had on them is 4G, so they successfully eradicated that.

do you own a i pad -- i do not , I am thinking of buying one , just not sure if i need it for my life style

 When they first came with a  personal computer for the home  most people just laughed and said -- who needs a computer in the home !!, it will never work . i bought my first home computer in 1983 and I was hooked

just sorry mac was not in the workplace and had to move to windows

There is no question that AAPL is making bank off what I believe is this tablet fad, but there is just no way that an iPad (in its current form) can even remotely replace my laptop day-to-day. Just isn't going to happen.

I do not own one. I simply can't justify it. Though it's got a "cool factor", the advent of this toy means I'd have to carry not only my laptop when I go out of town, but also this iPad? I don't see the material utility, personally.

+1, though it's not a fad IMO.

I personally don't see the need for it.  I have a phone (with a whopping 4.7" screen) and a 13" laptop and I just don't see the value prop of a 7"-11" tablet, but plenty of people obviously do.  That being said it replaces neither phone nor laptop, so I'm not sure why the author of that article thinks every PC CEO should be quivering over the ipad.  All it proves is that people will spend more of their disposable income on something because their being told that it's a must have gadget but I don't believe it replaces the need for anyone's PC.

I have a Asus tablet. Although a tablet current does not replace a laptop in any way, The plans are eventually they will.

I got my tablet as a luxurious toy, but I choose this one as it is the closest to a laptop replacement, with the keyboard mouse dock, I could do a lot what I could do on a laptop, and with a remote desktop connection - I am on my office desktop!

Windows 8 is supposed to be optimized for a tablet.

I personally dont think windows belongs on a tablet. Unless it has a keyboard an mouse = Laptop

It could do a lot of what you do, but you cant call it a replacement. If you had a choice one over the other what would you choose?
