I followed the platinum card website and got the President's Club status....It actually says AMEX Centurion on my AVIS card but I used the platinum card...

I dont have these types of luck...... My friend also got PC with a MPE card. I get nothing

Is there a credit card that you can still apply for that offers avis PC or CC? I know the United club card only gets you avis first and the continental presidential can't be applied for.

Does Avis check with Chase in order to get enrolled in AvisFirst, or do they check it at a later point?

Not sure nowadays, but I remember a couple years ago, you could just call Avis with a MC on file and get PC for a couple months.

I tried signing up with the link for the presidential plus card. Supposedly it used to get you PC for a little while, whichi could be used for a status match. Didn't work....

Would it last, or would it get taken away after a few months?
And would it put my PC status (that i still have through the CO PP) at risk?

I have had both Avis First and PC now for 1.5 years and the PC always outweighs the Avis First. But it pays to be enrolled in both because after 3 qualifying rentals (i believe just 3) you can get a coupon for a free weekend rental.
