United MileagePlus Explorer Guide to Benefits

Matching is not guaranteed anymore YMMV

Personal Card
Public offer in the Bank is 50K+5K                            Sign up for the 30+5K offer. You can get matched to the higher offer by sending a secure message after you are approved to be matched to the 55K + $50 offer that you say your colleague received.

If its your:
First time: After you sign for the 30k + 5k for adding an AU offer, you can SM Chase to match you to the 55k + $50 offer.
2nd+: Sign up with a new Frequent Flyer # (FFN), and SM AFTER receiving the first 30k. Make sure to create the new FFN with United BEFORE submitting the Application to Chase, or they'll default to your previous number, even if you leave the field blank.

Make sure to add an AU to receive the final 5k, for a total of 55k +$50.

Business Card
On the business card, you can get matched to 50k.
Follow the same process as the personal card.
Note: There is no 5k bonus for adding an AU to the biz card, so when you SM, make sure to ask to be matched to the 50k offer, not a 55k offer which doesn't exist for this card.

It could take up to a week to get a response from the Secure Message Center

Here is a link within your United account, which some DDFers have reported to received a 50k offer for the Explorer card, and the annual fee waived for the Club Card.

If u have a UMPE card and NO status, then you can do upgrades from a coach pts booking to bus/1st pts booking for just incremental pt + taxes, no fees. If you don't have the card they said they'd charge the all-dreaded rebooking fee of $100/person (always the chance to get it waived).

It's no more churnable than BA, people churn it with Different FFN, which works YMMV

so then according to that....almost any chase card connected to FFn is churnable?

SM doesn't want to match 55k without an offer code. Advice?

Just ask again, nicely,  say you saw the offer in the branch.

Targeted 50k (55k with an AU) showed up in my mail today . . . 2 weeks after creating a new FFN but not using it to apply for any cards. Could that be a way to trigger the offers?

Thoughts: if they're only generically referencing the offer received, could I share MC's code - with permission - as my friend who received an offer, presuming they won't use up his code?

They'll usually answer on such (a type of) thing "can't discuss what other people got" though I might be wrong.

It's not a code, it's a specific link sent in the offer. And the link prompts me to put in my FFN, so I presume (though perhaps I am wrong) nothing about the offer is shareable.

Applied a new UMPE card using a mail offer code sent for my mother. When page loaded changed name etc ..entered a newly created FFN.  To mine and applied. Got instant approval with credit line. Got email as well - congratulations- new card on the way. Went to my online chase account- don't see new card there added ( usually I see on my online chase account any new card I get instantly created). Hence called them. They said no new number is assigned yet. I asked do you see a card applied by me today and approved. He said I see an application but can't see anything else. Any clue what is going on?

It takes a few days for the card to show up in your account.

Only regular chase cards show up instantly. Chase branded Airline/Hotel cards take a few days to show up.

If you go into any chase branch you can get the 50K + 5K offer for the UMPE but you have to wait until you get the physical card to add an au and get the 5K.
