United MileagePlus Explorer Guide to Benefits

Matching is not guaranteed anymore YMMV

Personal Card
Public offer in the Bank is 50K+5K                            Sign up for the 30+5K offer. You can get matched to the higher offer by sending a secure message after you are approved to be matched to the 55K + $50 offer that you say your colleague received.

If its your:
First time: After you sign for the 30k + 5k for adding an AU offer, you can SM Chase to match you to the 55k + $50 offer.
2nd+: Sign up with a new Frequent Flyer # (FFN), and SM AFTER receiving the first 30k. Make sure to create the new FFN with United BEFORE submitting the Application to Chase, or they'll default to your previous number, even if you leave the field blank.

Make sure to add an AU to receive the final 5k, for a total of 55k +$50.

Business Card
On the business card, you can get matched to 50k.
Follow the same process as the personal card.
Note: There is no 5k bonus for adding an AU to the biz card, so when you SM, make sure to ask to be matched to the 50k offer, not a 55k offer which doesn't exist for this card.

It could take up to a week to get a response from the Secure Message Center

Here is a link within your United account, which some DDFers have reported to received a 50k offer for the Explorer card, and the annual fee waived for the Club Card.

If u have a UMPE card and NO status, then you can do upgrades from a coach pts booking to bus/1st pts booking for just incremental pt + taxes, no fees. If you don't have the card they said they'd charge the all-dreaded rebooking fee of $100/person (always the chance to get it waived).

Any language on offer? (I'm assuming you're both over 5/24, and within 24 months on the same targeted FFN.) Sounds like a one in a thousand chance of applying resulting in bonus.
Btw, if applying within 24m of bonus, but finishing spend after 24, will you get it?
(I assume not)

When I signed up for the Chase Explorer Card I thought it was the same thing as  the Chase Sapphire Card. Besides for buying miles with United what else can I do my with my Chase Explorer Points?

I see 70k offer when signing in to my united account, but don't see anything about $50 statement credit. Where is that and is it only a credit for united purchases or any purchase?

Just got shut down for the United card, 5/24. Called recon like 4 times, I even got the same lady twice! I probably should have waited when submiting my online app. Gamzuletova

Is there any chance of getting a United business card? Could it help to be added as an AU on my brothers United card? Should I try to apply again at a branch?

Thanks in advance, all you wise DDFers

I was told my online app was pending, so I called up, and they said I was declined because of 5/24.

thanks for your help in advance

5/24 is usually the last answer nothing to do about it, except if there is AU in the 5 then maybe you could fight

I signed up for the United MileagePlus Explorer Card on 7/1/2016.  I signed up with the offer to receive 50k bonus points.  I noticed that there was an offer to receive 70k bonus points but it ended 6/30/2016.  I tried to call Chase/United and send Chase a secure message to tell them what happened so that they can give me the additional 20k points since I was only 1 day late, but they wouldn't budge.  They said it was a trial offer and they can't do anything about it.  I had a similar issue with my Chase Sapphire Preferred but they actually gave me the extra points.

Anybody else have an issue with this, or know how to convince them to give me the 20k extra bonus points?

Thanks in advance
