I waited for the 35k to post however this was the response to my SM for a match:

You can delete it by merging it even before using the miles.

Yes. Although the offer there is 50k as there is no additional bonus for an AU.

Personal Card
Sign up for the 35k offer. You can be matched to the 55k + $50 offer.

If its your:
First time: After you sign for the 30k offer, you can SM Chase to match you to the 55k + $50 offer.
2nd+: Sign up with a new Frequent Flyer # (FFN), and SM AFTER receiving the first 30K.

Make sure to add an AU to receive the final 5k, for a total of 55k.

Business Card
On the business card, you can get matched to 50k + $50.
Follow the same process as the personal card.

My story in short:
I applied for the united without a new FFN (silly me). Sent them an SM and they told me they will match me to the 55k plus $50 statement when i meet the spending requirement.

I then met the spending requirement, sent them a SM and they replied that they see i have recieved the bonus in the past and therefore i wont be able to receive it now.

So i HUCA SM saying that they should have never told me im eligible for the bonus if i truly wasn't and......

Thank you for re-contacting Chase regarding your Chase
MileagePlus® Explorer credit card account.

Under the Chase United MileagePlus program you are
entitled to one enrollment bonus incentive per MileagePlus
product for life.

Our records indicate you received 50,000 enrollment miles
under the MileagePlus Explorer program on May 11, 2012 and
5000 on June 11, 2012 from Explorer account ending in 3145
which has since been closed due to the Annual fee billing
in 2013.

I have added the additional 55,000 enrollment mile and the
$50.00 statement bonus due to the inaccurate information
provided by my Colleague on May 22, 2013. The miles have
been issued as an exception, and will be reflected on your
next billing.

You may also earn an additional 10,000 miles if you meet
the $25,000.00 spend qualifier in a calendar year (January
1st to December 31st).

Please remember any future accounts you apply for and
approved under the MileagePlus Explorer program will not
earn you an enrollment incentive as stated on each
application.
