Possibly a cc for people with no SS#

They don't need a SS# to pull your credit.

They need a certain amount of info in order to pull your credit.  If a Canadian applies with an American address, there isn't anything to pull.

Was just approved, I'm Canadian living in us with no credit history here, gave them my green card number and was approved! Thnx!

I wonder if, after getting approved without prividing your SS#, you can ask them to add your social and report it to the CB. Huh? Would be a great idea to help peole build good credit very easy.

I didn't miss anything. The point I am making is they don't need a SS# to pull a CR.

Btw you can get a SSN and build your credit in the U.S. I did it very easy.

No I got SSN before Green card, when I only had advance parole.

The point here is that you can get approved for this card without a credit pull.

Wether or not a bank can pull credit without your ss is a different discussion.

What is there to explain? Many believe they need your SS# to pull a CR. This is not correct. SS# is only one of many weighted pieces of information that they use. I don’t want someone thinking they can apply for this or any card and not provided their SS# and it will result in no pull. It is also possible they can pull someone else’s CR and you can be denied because of what is on that report.

my guess -- if no tax id or s.s ---no credit report , they need to have something that is  unique , names ,address will not work must have some kind of number issued by a government  agency , they ask for passport # , not sure how that helps them --though i assume that must be the document they use -- I would think-- if do not have s.s. or tax id do  not need to worry about credit pulls

I will not tell u what business I owned for forty years , I will just say -- I would estimate  over the coarse of those forty years I must have been lent by major banks in excess of 500 million dollars and I had extended to my clients far in excess of that amount  , so do not tell me to go to CB to  learn about credit, what I forgot u can never hope to learn.
