Last time I checked the "tax" from JFK-TLV was much higher than that for a round-trip.

just booked someone a ticket with matmid. it was $344 for taxes round-trip! (there's an option for using up to 300 points to cover $150 of taxes.). also, for economy there's a sale right now for 1050 points.

I wish it would be that simple however every time I call I get an abnoctious lady telling me I don't have enough points in my account and I say my wife has and they say we can't check all your dates and times until ur ready to book so check everything online!!!

I just spoke to elal and they said on points you can only go on elal flights no partners so you can't stop over anywhere cuz they only fly to ny direct. But maybe with aa points?
