If you make a bid of $15 per day and you're 21-24, the underage fee is included in that $15. So if the underage fee is $12, you'd only be paying $3 a day (before taxes and fees) to the rental company. And being thats its very little, you'll have a small chance of winning the bid.

does an additional driver under who is 21 get included in the price as well?
just to clarify If both drivers are 21-24 we can bid through priceline and whats extra charges can i expect?

Tried that before I posted, but they sent me on a runaround because it was a PL reservation. HUCA worked though, and it costs $33 for the change.

How about calling Priceline and trying to cancel/change using an excuse like "autofill on my computer put in the wrong name?"

Or perhaps call the rental agency and try add yourself as a driver?

HUCA twice. They can't add an additional driver to the reservation.  ONly when the reservation holder is standing at the rental counter. Then I 'chatted' and used your idea.  And added that the name autofilled is not a real one, but one I use for certain things and that there are no cc's in that name for the security deposit.  After a hold she told me as a one time courtesy they'll cancel my reservation and my friend can make a new one in her name.  Whew!!!

Na.  I already tried lower during this crisis, so I could try the "I found a lower bid, please cancel my higher one"  - which I don't know if it works - and only the same price worked, so I already know the lowest they'll go.  But good thought.

Moral.... It's a YMMV but there is a way to get priceline to cancel reservations.

i just offered priceline 18 dollars which they refused... then decided to offer me a car, same class for 17... am i missing something?
