I am planning on transferring the miles to AA but noticed on the Wydham website that 16.5k points gets you 3 weekend days with Avis. Is that a good deal vs the 30k transferring into 12k aa miles?

Seems like a good value to me. I am 500 miles short. Do they have any transfer partners that I could make up the difference?

Not if they are certs you can turn in at the end.

if you do it this way you can probably rent for say four days and get them to take off the weekend days since you are anyways doing it at first on a credit card. This way it will be simple.

Are there blackout dates on the car rental? If not this has to be an awesome  value when rentals are expensive. You could save 200 bucks easy on a 3 day rental.

Keep on refreshing when the clock moves, have your cc info all ready, etc.

I thought I read somewhere that it can take 6-8 weeks. Not sure if they are just saying that though, but it really post quicker..

Are you able to transfer based on how many points you have or it goes based on their preset amounts, meaning I would lose the odd points over 30k?

I have 66k I have to do two 17500 thats 34k and then 4x 8000

which can transfer to 8,000 aa/Ua/Dl.. which comes out to more than 2cpm?
