Bank of America credit card offers
« on: March 12, 2012, 07:25:37 PM »
I was thinking about getting a Hawaiian Airlines card (either to fly to Hawaii or to transfer to Hilton points, depending on my scheduling).  Does BofA offer other mileage cards besides Hawaiian and Alaskan?  Any good offers out there?  Any decent cards w/o a yearly fee?  Tell me your thoughts.

i think they offer a US Airways card, but the good offers with US Airways usually come from Barclays.

HAWAAIN Plus Virgin Atlantiic which both transfer to Hilton

Good is a relative term.  I got them both but beware they have annual fees.

+1 VS card will give you more Hilton points, as they have 65k offers and also transfer at 1:2. 10k vs minimum, then 5k increments.

I just applied for the Virgin Atlantic and I asked the CS what the offer is and she said 25000 points. My link said 65,000 how would you deal with this.

Happened to me a few years ago. The csr didn't know about it, but it all posted properly, although I forgot about the extra cardholder, so lost out on that 5k.

Note that some of those 65k will be for AU and anniversary bonus.

Does anyone have any experience with applying for the BOA Hawaiian Airlines and Virgin Atlantic card at the same time?  Specifically, will the inquiries be combined and what are the chances of approval.

I believe AsherO had two pulls. One from BoA, and one from FIA.

I had two pulls, but the FIA was for Bank of Hawaii(not BofA) Hawaiian Airlines card.

(or at least its issued by them... I think FIA is owned by BoA...)

What card is the Bank Of Hawaii points.

It's issued by FIA, (a BofA subsidiary which is managed seperately) and branded Bank of Hawaii. It's officially the BofA card for HI residents (as indicated on this page).

(or at least its issued by them... I think FIA is owned by BoA...)

It's officially issued by FIA, which is managed seperately (IIRC I couldn't transfer credit from BofA accounts etc.). But you're right, FIA is owned by BofA.

So to be clear - there are two Hawaiian Airlines Visa Signature cards - one for Hawaii residents issued by Bank of Hawaii, and one for non-residents issued by Bank of America?  And if I apply for the non-resident card issued by BofA alongside an application for the VA card, will it be one pull?  Or has nobody on here tried this yet?  (don't tell me that...I'm not mekabel such loshon hora!)

I applied for both Hawaiian cards, I'd expect two pulls, here's the thread discussing all the details, YMMV.
