As an agent, do you profit if I both through you with points?
Love me or hate me. I still love you.

Interesting. My agent always wants me to make LY or Flying blue tickets through him, takes no extra, but does get a commission.

It's fine, but travel agents can no longer make solicitations in posts for people to contact them.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

So I can answer a question but not tell them to contact me, correct?

Can we make an exception for specific price quotes, I mean why is that worse that reporting a fare found on expedia? He's been helping  people on the need help thread.

TA's can quote an all inclusive price, but they can't solicit the business in the post.

So they should say, price is x if you book with me?

I'm not understanding 100%.

If I have a specific deal, EG student fare, can I post it WITHOUT my contact info?

If yes, great because it benefits others and myself. Win win situation.

If not, can you explain why? (isn't it the same as someone posting a deal from orbitz or whatever?) lose lose situation

Thanks.

Ok do you really want to force this out of Dan?? Ill say it for him and make it easier.
He would much rather, you, and other agents pay him some money to advertise yourselves on his Website forums.

Im sure if youre in touch with him by email, he will try and work something out.
Dan, nothing personal just helping you out.

I didn't think that's the issue at all. It's just getting a bit annoying with deceptive plugging.

So it would be fine if WhyAich changed his signature to something like
"If you need help getting a price I posted, Pm me"
?

I don't know about that part. I think an agency has exclusive ads with him but that's not my question....

Why can someone post orbitz but not another deal.

Also this is totally different than advertisements.

I worked extremely hard with every person to get a sale. I have to convince them and thank G-d our dansdeals members are hard ti convince :)

So yes I'm open for dans requests and would totally work with him if this is the issue
