I applied without even having an MS account and they didnt even run a credit check because first they checked to see if I had an account with MS which i didnt.

Also, they really are looking for 100k minimum with managed accounts.  The guy was willing to start with 50k.  But either way there is a 1.5% annual management fee

it would be really nice to get a trax account which is not managed, just a way to buy mutual funds through them.

As an MS, TDAmeritrade, and Fidelity customer, he MS site is one of the worst to do anything other than look at current positions IMO. I would think you would really need the incremental benefits of the MS card (over reg or mb)  to make it worth while. I see it as a great way to get another 50k mr points since I don't have to move anything. I personally would not open an ms account just for this card (im trying to leave them) Their target market is not the DIY investor, it's a much more high touch business than other brokers. As a result there are more hoops to jump through and people to talk to whenever you want to do anything. If that works for you great.

Oh ok, one of the things I love about TD is how easy it is to navigate around the site for everything. I've used E-trade, TD, and Fido so far and TD is by far the best of those three.

yep, TD is great. I just wish they would let you look at multiple accounts on the same screen easily. Managing multiple accounts with them is painful, otherwise, great platform/service.

Bit the bullet and applied, instant approval, I do have an MS account, but find it hard to believe they checked it electronically, but who knows. Since credit already pulled today want to apply for another amex, any recommendations?

Bump, good question. T&C don't say anything as far as standard AMEX bonus terms limiting to having card in last 90 days/12 months.

I have a MSSB account and would like to 2bm MB and MS Plat.

If you go for the MS, can you post if you get instantly approved? I only want one pull of course so not sure if I am going to pull the trigger just yet.
