With everything going on in the Old City and around it... Is it safe to go to the Waldorf now?

Be alert, don't walk and talk on ur cell phone as a predator will be more likely to attack non vigilant targets, and have pepper spray w/ u. Israelis don't stop living bc of the situation they just become more aware of their surroundings.

And have all the people that were stabbed in the last weeks not trying to be aware of their surroundings?
There is a difference if you live there and need to move on than going for a visit.

Not telling anyone to stay in all day but you're always taking a risk going out.

They've been selling out all over. And yes plenty of Israelis have purchased pepper spray.

Purchased doesn't mean they're actually carrying them with them.

There is always a risk going out, but I feel being constantly afraid and not going out of ur house gives the attackers a victory in a sense. And I wasn't at all implying ppl weren't being vigilant. Was saying for a tourist that isn't always aware its a good suggestion to take those added precautions.

I know plenty that carry daily now

Give me a break!

Life seems pretty normal to me.

I'm in the Waldorf, walked to Kosel Fri Nite, mamilla shabbos, ben yehuda motze shabbos and tonite and old city all day today.

The streets are full. Life goes on. You just gotta be aware just like in bad neighborhoods in the states. No one is suggesting that you walk thru Shaar Schem or the arab shuk or walk around Chevron, but if you stick to the normal neighborhoods, it's as peaceful as it ever was.

Seems to me that the ones that aay to be afraid and stay home are the ones not in Israel.

The only disappointment was the rain and lack of service in Rimon Cafe. Food was ok but -1 on the service.

If you find something, and you need a 'partner' so that it doesn't look suspicious to have a single guy there, I can join you as your date.

Then you can sue if they ask any questions.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.
