I checked for C+P but couldn't find anything, sorry. The TA Hilton had tons of availability at $125 + 28,000 points.

Seriously the most delayed hotel on earth:
"This hotel will soon be joining the Hilton Worldwide Portfolio of Brands and is currently accepting reservations for August 1, 2014 and beyond."

Wonder what they're going to do with my 05/01-05/16 points reservation now :D

Passed yesterday, still many rooms  that are not near finished. But they got a retail store on the ground floor open.... I guess selling overpriced ceramic pomegranates is more profitable then renting rooms

I made a cash reservation 5/01-5/03. Is cash reservation not as good for compensation?

They did go through some crazy things to preserve the facade of the building. Really cool how they did it.

8 years is not that long when dealing with a building that has been landmarked. They had to keep the façade and run everything past the preservation loonies and the cronies that are in charge of the city.

The actual construction is going on for about 3 years IINM.

I do hope they're open by the week of Shavuot and able to accomodate my reservation, I'm going to look into alternatives but it's going to be $$$$ rather than points and $... Why the smiley face at the end of your post, lost cause?

I spoke to Hilton regarding the room for my wife and daughter, the official answer is that due to fire safety rules, the standard room cannot be booked for more than 2 people, as the room is not large enough to accomodate a rollaway bed (the Hilton in Tel Aviv doesn't share this problem). As the standard twin room wasn't available on the nights I was looking at, only premium rooms were able to be booked.

Well they said that because of the event today, they were pressured into doing a lot of work this past month,
And I saw the architect giving a tour to the  city official in charge of giving them the opening permit,
Seems realistic they will start opening in 2-3 months (with a small tryout period before grand opening).
