Not to be negative or say anything that can be taken the wrong way but even the chief rabbis do stuff that isn't %100 kosher and get in trouble for it......so again wondering if our "in house chief rabbi" in what he said or did  was %100 kosher and honest.

I seriously hope that people on here don't try to get compensation for not getting the upgrade they hoped for...talk about killing the Golden Goose...

To all the negative DDF:

When I checked in they told me that I would have to pay for that upgrade.
When I checked out they told me they didn't upgrade me bc it wasn't available
Waj got to be honest a little bit

If it was a an email from Hilton it's not guaranteed that the room is available and it could be people cancelled last minute as I  personally had 2 rooms for shavous that I had to cancel 2 days before or could be at time you checked in it wasn't available and became available at some point during your stay
Also if you would have paid for upgrade they probably would have upgraded someone else off the room to open it up for you, so before u r quick to judge (as a "chief rabbi" give benefit of the doubt) learn how hotels operate
And being that it's a Jewish owned hotel be careful that you aren't stealing from them or hurting them when u make up stories against them because you don't know all the facts

They said at checkout it was never available
What part of that don't you understand?
I told them that when I checked in they offered it to me for a price
They said that wasn't true

So you are saying because they are Jewish owned that they could lie ?

I'm on your side, you shouldn't have to feel guilty complaining about crappy service just because they're jewish.

[/quote]

Of course they can't lie but he workers aren't all Jewish and agreed not all can be trusted.
Why are you getting all defensive unless what u did wasnt all kosher or true.....whole thing sounds fishy  ,as u had said u got meals cheaper then they officially charge and now saying a whole story where it's what u claim they said one thing and which they claim they claim they didn't and personally I think it's alot of talk or alot of "stretching" the truth on your part.
Why out of the blue would they offer the upgrade unless it was a different room then u thought .
I also got an email from Hilton to upgrade (when available) and when I checked in before yom to they said nothing available and don't know why Hilton sends those emails without checking with them, so maybe u could yell at Hilton for me for offering paid upgrades when hotel says nothing available.....

Just FYI, not available doesn't mean that there is no physical room. Not available can define that its not available for complimentary upgrade since they lets say only have 1 or 2 jr suites available.
