This is the message I get before completing a reservation
Please note that all HHonors Reward stays (Inc. Standard Reward, Money & Points, Premium Reward and Upgrade Reward) are on room only basis. Buffet Breakfast is available daily in the Palace restaurant at the applicable rate.

I sent a email recently to the Front desk regarding to confirm my reservation as I booked some through Chase and some award nights. I am a Gold and when they wrote me back they mentioned it included breakfast.

Gold diamond get free breakfast
Chase is booked as a cash stay through Expedia so will get breakfast but no points and status is not recognized.

2. If Yes can I cancel and the weekend certificate goes back into the account?

1 . Can use for waj but only for basic reward redemption (superior or accessible room).
2 if cancelled it goes back into account

Stayed there last week and it was fantastic. I would say the Waldorf experience was one of my highlights of my trip. They make you feel really special and they spoil you from the moment you arrive. The place is clean and well kept. Service was great and so was the breakfast. I would highly recommend this place

I got a free upgrade and early check in cuz of my gold status and it was amazing.

People complain when they think that they will get whatever they want and only get most . Or they expect suite upgrades due to status and they only get higher room upgrades.
Also they compare it to other high end hotels around the world where waj may fall short of what is expected of high end places.

It's a great hotel by Israeli service standards. Full stop.
It is not up to par with 5 star hotels in other countries.

But you have kosher food which you don’t have in other 5 star hotels worldwide. It’s the best five star experience for a a frum Jew. You can order kosher food to you room and you get a great breakfast.

Yes, the food aspect is amazing and we love staying at the WAJ because of that and the location. Though not having dairy on the menu for Shavuos dinner or lunch was a big letdown.
Either way, food is not service and the service is not on par with other international 5 star hotels.

Don't think there is anything they can do about that, as they can only hire Israeli's and Israeli's will never be able to give you that fake smile and fake happiness that you're in thier hotel that you'll get from other hotel serivce people's.

They just can't. Or as they say "Impossible"! אי אפשר!
