is room service or any of the restaurants open during yom tov/shabbos to order basic food? trying to figure out if i need to shell out for a meal plan for day meals when it seems they arent really as worthwhile as night meals (and the breakfast plus maybe a sandwich or a salad should be enough).
Room service/lobby bar serve a limited menu on Shabbos/Yot.

If just ordering basic food, perhaps just do takeout on Friday and save the money.
Although breakfast should be enough.
I actually think the lunch buffet is just as good as Friday night.

I have 5 separate nights booked consecutively. Can I call Hilton and they will combine them into one reservation>then refund me for 1 night as they are 5 consecutive ones?

Anyone ever try?

YMMV based on the dinner and lunch menu, but yes, the lunch is great.

I have s standard room booked with 93k points but letting me only reserve for 2 people.

Room Plan:   KING SUPERIOR BALCONY ROOM

Your Rate Information   STANDARD ROOM REWARD

Party staying there is 1 mother and her 2 boys(12 and 15).  Will it be a problem to bring the 3rd person? fee? can we ask for a bed or will that be more problematic etc...?

How would you handle it?

Depending on mood officially they charge for 3rd person for a bed (but included in that is breakfast) sometimes they will give the free bed but charge for breakfast.

Is that policy and price in writing?
 what happens usually practically speaking?

This is on their website

"Children up to 18 years old stay free (with existing bedding) when sharing a room with a paying adult on a room only rate. Children 5 years and under enjoy complimentary breakfast from our buffet."

what does this mean for 1 adult and 2 children(12 and 15)?

It seems in general Israel is much more strict with bringing children to stay in the hotel room if only booked for 1 or 2 adults?  Appears even though there may be enough room/beds they want to squeeze every dollar from you?

I cant ever recall any issues like this in the USA.

With the ban of foreign tourists extended until Aug 1, how likely is it that the rates will go below 93k during July like last year or was that because the Waldorf Astoria wasn't fully operational?

Definitely.
IHG also advertise free kids worldwide, but in Israel they charge 50-100 NIS for “insurance”.

I also found this one Jerusalem.Reservations@waldorfastoria.com. No idea if it's still active. Hilton Tel Aviv have also changed their email addresses which are still posted on their website. When I received no response from them, I emailed Hilton direct guestassistance.international@hilton.com and asked them for Hilton Tel Aviv email address.
