What about Shabbos day, you did the Waldorf meals? Do they offer breakfast Shabbos day?

Is there anyone here that has any recent DP on the Plaza Shabbos meals? What's the price for night/day, and is it worth it?

We liked the Waldorf lunch, though it's certainly overpriced.
There is breakfast on Shabbos, but it's shvacha maisas.

Was it significantly cheaper then the night meal? Just trying to figure out the best option for a group of ten. Was thinking of doing one meal takeout and one either at the Waldorf or the Plaza

I was there for Shabbos after Sukkos and thought the breakfast was pretty good, though I wasn’t there on a weekday to compare it. I’ll be staying there again for Shabbos in 2 weeks.
Overall, if you had 1 night to choose at the WAJ, would you do Shabbos or weekday?

We survived with room temp food to save $1,100.

Why didn't you use a hotplate?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Was there any issues keeping the food hot? Any tips on what to buy from Hadar Geula, if we decide to go the takeout route?
I have used a hot plate and left a sign that we do not want room service. I was just in the WAJ before Shavous for 2 shabbosim. The 1st Friday night the food was decent the 2nd it was not good just as Dan mentioned.

Any insight into Waldorf Shabbos day meal? Where did you get takeout from, any recommendations?

Why can't you book yourself?
And why would you want to eat there?
because I called and they were/are sold out. I guess I'll go
To the plaza

I tried Goldys and Hadar Geulah both places food is decent and nice selection. If you are driving they are near each other.

Any chance there will be a standard room award available in the week of 7/25-7/31?
If it benefits even just one fellow DDFer, its worth posting it.

I don't usually write Israel TRs. Devolves into endless hashgocha debates.

Maybe leave the food out of it? Keep it to activities? At the very lease a sequel to your outbound flight.
Sounds like you did a lot on this trip compared with previous ones. Would be very helpful for a TR, even if its just bullet point skeletons.
