I assume they learned their lesson from last year
Probably. However I was able to book award stays over the phone for days where the website did not show availability.

So definitely call. Although Sukkos is likely out.

that is a lot if Hilton points! Did you transfer from mr, or just rack them up with spend?

Yes but they aren't letting anyone book now. Standard availability is blocked as well. So at least there's a chance itll return. But if it does and you're considering going, I'd jump on it.

Odd how they're not allowing ANY reservations, points or cash.

simplest explanation is they got a getaway operator to host a succos program this year and they put a down payment on all the rooms (so they are sold out so no blackout application maybe)

I had the same thought. Wondering if the hotel davka found someone to avoid all the rooms being points bookings

That it gets blacked out or that an operator books up the whole hotel?

That's a stretch.... Business wise it makes more sense. They now know they are sold out for succos even it its for a less money.

And hotels are usually reimbursed by the chain for mileage redemptions close to the revenue rate if the hotel is completely sold out. Chains reimburse much less when the hotel has vacancies.
