Well if you really want to know- many Rabanim went around to a few stores and restaurants in the 'town' area last week together with the head of 'rabbanut mehadrin' last week (not just Rabanut)
And found 100% problems! Specifically,  treif cheese coming in, false statements on certificates and many other issues...

Even though their 'written' Standards are pretty good (though still NOT on par with American hechsherim- regarding locking the storage/meet, bishel of a non from Jew, and another I forgot right now) - they don't do most of that in practice!! It is up to the mashgiach on site to keep to it (and unfortunately tey found even 'good' mashgichim who disappeared for few hours) ...

Lastly, In the words of this Rabanut representative, Rabanuts goal is just to make thing "only half treif" so at least most Israelis shouldn't be eating full treif...

Just what I heard from my Rabanim... Take what you wish...

You're mixing the Rabbanut standards for meat coming from slaughterhouses with the (lack of) supervision in restaurants.
2 completely different issues.
Both are problematic but need to be understood individually.

As I menntioned, and you seem to agree, it's impossible or naive to call Rabbanut meat 100% treif unless you're an expert and have seen the slaughtering process first hand.

Do they have buffet?
I heard a while back that it's only waiter service, is that true?

"Out of this world good" is definitely pushing it.
The Shabbos meals are good but I wouldn't call them outstanding by any stretch.

Waiter service on Friday night and buffet for lunch.

No buffett Friday night is disappointing.
The only way they can make up for that is by having a massive menu and world class food.

Why?
I liked it. Much better than getting up constantly and fending off hungry Jews at a buffet table.

Well, I would probably prefer the Inbal where the food is great and I don't need to fight others, or wait for a waiter to bring one of 3 items that you must like or go to sleep hungry.

We are talking about the WA. ;)
They had a nice selection and the food was good. I preferred it to a buffet, which they had at lunch.

I had no such issues, they had whatever I wanted, and the waiters were always there
