YMMV
Figured. I'm assuming people had experience with this looking for some feed back.

We just put 2 kids in the same bed,, and for those old enough we just got a cot, though concierge tries to charge for that IIRC

How many kids can I get in a room besides for the 2 adults? 3 year old, 5 year old, 9 year old. I'm asking what the hotel lets, not sneaking in etc.

We only had one child, so I can't speak to how many can come. They didn't try to charge us for an extra bed in the regular room. The junior suites have a pull-out couch.

No.

The hechsher is rabanut.

The products that are used are held to a higher standard.

Supposedly the reason the Hashgocha isn't better is because they rent it out for non-kosher events.

Meaning what, mihadrin? All products?

Other than HH?

Rate is 80k per night, correct? And is this for both weekdays and weekends?

Do free night certificate's still work? And do they get the same value as points (i.e. Availibility, room type) ?

I ate Friday night there on two separate trips a year apart from each other  the most recent  the food was a lot better than the time before with a lot of selection such as lamb and surprisingly even had very culture specific food like Syrian Jewish  delicacies (as we are Syrian) which was a nice touch.
we r also syrian do u feel this is a nicer hotel, i see the rooms are larger, then the king david?

I've stayed at both the Waldorf is newer and new is always better and that is even more true  tenfold in israel.
All kidding aside besides for the pro of the king David's awesome pool area the Waldorf is better in all other aspects

Having stayed at all 3, I'd probably opt for the Citadel Apr-Oct and the Waldorf Nov-March

Hard to beat eating breakfast on the terrace at the Citadel and everything else pretty close once you factor in the larger, renovated rooms at the Citadel and the fact that the Waldorf rooms are tiring rather quickly

Never enjoyed the King David as much because of the Hechsher and the fact that they treat all Charedi looking people like Schnorrers

they are fine for shabbos late checkout at least (stayed on a one night friday night stay and i checked out an hour after shabbos in August, like around 8pmish iirc). wonder if second day yom tov on a points stay may be an issue.

I know this has been discussed before and I really don't want to get this popping (thats a lie) but I just had a discussion with someone who is in the know and was informed why they only have a rabbanuit hechsher and told me there is nothing to worry about...
he also discussed the kashrus with a mashgiach and told me that they do their own shechta run.

I don't advise you to take advice from someone online about what you should or shouldn't eat but I wanted to share.

Everyone is entitled to do as they please.  With that being said, I personally spoke with Rabbi Kuber (he works for the OU in America, and is someone that alot of prominent rabbanim in israel refer their Kashrus questions to.) who told me that although they have good mashgichim, after personally going through the kitchens top to bottom, he unfortunately cannot recommend it.

Breakfast is included. Call the hotel to confirm. Don't believe the Hilton booking desk.
