Don't let every grumpy man online faze you.
From his other reviews "I'm a grumpy reviewer; I tend to focus on the negative."

My issue wasn't his grumpy review...just didn't get his comment about religious Jews and kids. Thought it was a bit incongruous...

Me personally...I love the Waldorf and cant wait to go back!

I don't remember what they quoted, but it was over $100 per person per meal. We were pleasantly surprised to find that (included, at least for Golds) Shabbos breakfast included challah, grape juice, and hot kugels.

Was that including kids?  Any "up to" age that was free?

Shabbos breakfast is free (maybe only for gold members?)

the price for the meals when I was there in february was $115 per person per meal

IIRC kids were charged 75% off the adult price

I plan on using miles to take my wife for 10 yr anniversary.

1) I know ppl are saying the hechsher is rabbanut; that doesn't mean all foods served is rabbanut, ie: dairy products usually have a badatz on it. Im not saying to eat their food; I am chareidi and don't eat rannanut... Wanted to know regarding the breakfasts: do they open all the products ad put it in large dishes for all to take or it's all individually closed, like gevina levana, puddings, cheeses, etc? Meaning, can one take the closed items and eat it or ALL foods are off limits because they take them out of original packaging and there's no way to know what has what hechsher?

2) Do they give special upgrades for couples on special occasions? Anyone have any tips on getting the most out of our stay? The last time we were at a hotel was 10 years ago (we don't get out much!)
,
I have a hilton CC and am a Gold Member. The points I have in my account is 87,500. I found a room for 80k - anything else to do with the other 7.5?

thanks in advance guys/gals!

3) Also, wanted to know what the rules were for check in and check out? Are hotels lenient with checking in early and checking out later?  WA says: checkin 3pm, checkout 12pm.

They gave us late checkout without blinking. They also didn't blink when we asked to change it to an even later checkout (twice!).

It really depends on the front desk but you should really call before and ask. We have had really early check-in as we arrived on an early morning flight. Another time they were at 90% occupancy so we had to wait a little till the room was ready but if you call in advance, and tell them you're Gold, and celebrating an anniversary, they will be very accomodating.

With regard to kashrus at breakfast, there are definitely yogurts in their packages but the mashgiach is there on site and should be able to show you everything else.
