Great Synagogue - Approx. 7 minute walk
Kotel around 15min walk thru the mall & arab Shuk (Only suggested when soldiers are present like friday night on the way home)
Hotel has a Shul in the basement
Shul across the street

Hechsher: Plain Rabbanut Yerushayim (not mehadrin)
hechsherim in isreal
whatever your rabbi says you can eat, someone else's rabbi says is treif

If anyone is planing on staying at Waldorf and not eating the free breakfast (Hechsher, Early flight, etc') please PM shimino1

If you get free drinks vouchers and don't use them, I'll buy it off you for 10 shek per voucher.

Unfortunately MANY of the 103 pages in this thread are about kashrut arguments surrounding the hotel so just read thru the pages...officially Rabanut BUT much higher standards than regular Rabanut (but still not Mehadrin for a few reasons)...just read back in the posts

When I went to WA early July, they gave wine and cake for an anniversary.. Just curious, do they do that for birthdays too? Or Anniversary is more of a "special day" in hotel language...?

I haven't found it hard to find availability. Probably depends what season you looking to go. I booked 3 day's before in the past and it was for super bowl sunday!

Just look online for any weekend night that has availability @80k and you can call and book your cert.  They're full now for Sukkot but all their other times including Pesach, Shavuos and the week of X-Mas and New year's they have availability for the basic rooms.

sukkos an pesach are now blocked out by the hotel (at least for a standard room) look upthread.
