So strange, what's the advantage of a grand deluxe then, that they charge more for it and it doesn't have the balcony.

@gross5g any insight?
Big shout out to @letav_aved , was going back and forth for a booking for my BIL at WAJ or Ritz Hertzaliya, ended up doing the Ritz, they they got hooked up with a 6 category room upgrade to a Duplex Suite. Super cool room.

So is this $100 good for Restaurant/Incidentals at the WAJ? Any DP's?

This $100 credit may work at the WAJ but you need to specifically book a 2 night stay via their link at that special room rate.  The $250 annual credit from the Aspire card will not work at the WAJ.  It is for Resort properties and there is a list of them on their website (Dan also links to them).  Good examples in the US are the Grand Wailea (where I actually just used it for kosher meals that I pre-ordered and were delivered to me as room service), Arizona Biltmore, Boca Raton Resort, etc.

If anyone booked the Waldorf in Jerusalem for Fri (Shabbos) the 25th and is not using it for whatever reason, please PM me. I would be willing to trade Points or nights of the same value.

Whether or not the WAJ is kosher is not, I'm not interested in igniting the debate, but if the WAJ has so many frum guests, why wouldn't they use a kashrus agency that is more widely accepted?

Reasons range from doing Ashkenazi bishul yisroel to having Jews working in the hotel on Shabbos to catering events not being required to have mehadrin food to the cost not being worthwhile given their already high percentage of charedi clientele ok with the status quo of mehadrin food under rabanut hechsher.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Anyone aware of any change in the level or standard of kashrus since the Reichmanns sold the hotel?

I was there 3 years ago. Before I went I asked numerous people who all said it was good. Including numerous rabanim I asked who they themselves eat there. The shabbos I was there, R' Nissan Kaplan from the Mir was eating there as well (for a bar mitzvah). Now, anyone I asked says they don't know the current status..anyone know?

The Mashgiach is the same and claims he is maintaining the same standards.

It is in my opinion one of the most Kosher establishments in Israel, notwithstanding the fact that certain ransom-demanding rabbis were allegedly not allowed in the kitchen. Kosher is not defined by certificates.

He supposedly brought his own food.

Either way, your best bet is to call a Rav you trust (as opposed to"people") that is knowledgeable in the Kashrus world in Israel particularly. (might I suggest you call a Rav that has actually gone through the WAJ kitchen)

I don't believe that to be true.
Definitely not from what I saw...

If you trust him enough to rely on him to eat there, then you should trust him enough to say he never ate the Waldorf food.
(Which is what he told me personally when I asked him)

I remember the shabbos he ate there. I forgot exactly what he did, I can find out from someone reliable. But IIRC there was a lot of hock involved, something like he had an oven kashered and brought his own mashgiach.

Speaking of the Waldorf and kashrus, they have kahlua at the bar. It's a 700ml bottle, says imported from Mexico but doesn't say where it was bottled. I think a company from Paris imported it. I'm not saying it is or isn't kosher, just pointing it out.
