just saying that there's a reason .....

And the reason is that they are not certified as Rabbanut Mehadrin, they are not certified by Rubin, and they are not certified by Eidah. At best, it's the certification of the local Mashgiach (+regular Rabbanut).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

there can actually be a legitimate reason for that. To be Rabbanut Mehadrin, you need to use Rabbanut Mehadrin meat and poultry, exclusively. If you want.to  use Rubin or Eidah you can not be certified Rabbanut Mehadrin
That's completely inaccurate. Rabbanut Mehadrin establishments can use Rubin and Eidah meats.

Seems pretty obvious, since AFAIK all IMPORTED meat needs to be certified and crew approved by Rabbanut. It might technically hold true for chicken which is slaughtered domestically. IDK.

that has nothing to do with Mehadrin. Everything has to be approved by the Rabbanut but Rabbanut Mehadrin has tbeir own shechitah

either provide an example or a source. My source is a department head in the Rabbanut
Every Rabbanut Mehadrin Teuda says where the meat is from.
So go to virtually any Rabbanut Mehadrin restaurant and look at the Teuda for an example.

Both of you are correct, however
-In hotels the Rabbanut Mehadrin is makpid to use the Rabbanut Mehadrin shchita ( btw using kehillos, she'eris or aguda achieves that purpose as a close second and you can't use other shchita unless (a) a private event has called for it. (b) a specific cut of meat that is not available from Rabbanut mehadrin( ie corned beef)
-In restaurants the Rabbanut is less makpid and lets you use other "high end" shchitas

Is this your first card member anniversary? The second free night award may be part of your sign-up bonus. See here for example. https://www.dansdeals.com/points-travel/hotel-deals/limited-time-increased-welcome-bonuses-3-hilton-amex-cards-earn-125k-points-100k-points-plus-free-night/

So, do they actually charge a surcharge for children in a room on points reservations on the dates they have listed on the site?

From personal experience and other posters, it doesn't appear so.

I am looking for Rooms Oct 8-10, please PM me if you have.

I have rooms booked but they are selling for $441 a night and might just be better to book them cash and earn points.  Don’t see anyone parting with their points for much less than that.
