Looking for a lodging option for a family of 5 in Jerusalem in March.  Both WAJ and David Citadel have family room/suite that houses 4.  Would I get into trouble when showing up with three children?

I assume Hilton free nights won't get me to the family room, so I will have to either book two rooms or pay $$?

I'm at the end of a fantastic stay at WA Jerusalem, which was booked at the last minute via FHR (with the $200 Platinum credit) to catch the snowstorm.

I booked the lowest category King Deluxe room and received a 4-category upgrade to King Terrace.  And that is exactly the room that I wanted, as we had our own private snow deck, in addition to the entire rest of the "promenade"/garden terrace area to ourselves (there are only 4 terrace rooms, and we were the only occupants!).

As Diamond, I was granted the $25 credit on top of the $100 FHR credit, as well as the 4PM FHR checkout and full breakfast.

One of the best hotel stays I've ever had, incredibly special experience for my wife and kids, who had never experienced falling snow before.

Truly an amazing room! I have also booked a standard King Room and have also been upgraded to the King Terrace with holding Gold status. I was given the room on the end right. There are only 4 such rooms in the WAJ.

Nice!
What's the % occupancy these days?

When we got there, it seemed pretty empty, despite appearing sold out on hilton.com (which I doubted, because literally rooms in all categories were still available at the time I booked, about a couple hours before it changed to sold out).  There were no long lines at check-in or check-out, and in fact, the lady that checked me in even escorted us to the room (reminded me of Park Hyatt NY).

But breakfast was pretty packed, as was evening service at King's Court.

In terms of customer mix, English and Yiddish were the predominant languages, followed by Arabic (nearly all the staff), and then Hebrew  ;D

Is there ever normally priced award nights here anymore? Very few dates avail for the 95k range...
+1 had the same question, especially from recent reports seems that its not packed.

I've heard reports of success emailing them (or Hilton TLV) a request to open space.  I think they play with the availability...

That seems to be the way to do things. Very rarely that they have availability for the next month or two.

Whats the  $200 Platinum credit for hotels ??

$200 annual credit for stays at FHR hotels, or a 2-night+ stay at a Travel Collection hotel.

Anybody recently used a free night at Waldorf Jerusalem, as a guest? Did they give issues checking in? Was it enough just being added as a guest? And did u get free breakfast as a Diamond?
Thank you
