Anyone been here with kids?  Do they give you a hard time having kids in room?

From the WA Jerusalem website:

Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem
Family policy
Children under 18 stay free when sharing a room with parents. 2nd room charged at 50% of 1st room. Family Plan is not available Jun 1- Jul 6 2014, Oct 7-18 2014, Dec 19 2014-Jan 3 2015, Apr 2-11 2015.

We'll see about how strictly they enforce...

3 nights=240K HH.
160K AMEX MR=240K HH.
Paid rate=$1,876.20, a value per point of 1.17 cents

So you'll be better off selling the points to a broker and paying. Or finding someone to transfer at a better ratio.

That's a lot of Amex points for three nights. What's the cash rate?

Wow. You could buy hilton points from a broker for cheaper too. But probably better to go with paid rate.

Booked Oct 6-19, 2 rooms at the Waldorf for Succos using a points many months ago. 2 nts (both rooms) were Reserve certificates. The rest cost about 1.25M points. Is it worth to cxl my reservation, sell the points and buy the reservation back with Global Tours?

It would cost me $12,800 to buy it with Global Tours. I have 1.36M HH points.

The MR points you transferred to Hilton? Those will just go back to Hilton.

1.25 million Hilton at a value of half a cent a point (I think that's a generous estimate) would be $6250 Global is charging $12,800 there's no way 4 reserve certs plus 25k MR is worth anywhere near $6000 (they are worth closer to $1000)
You did great!!!
If my math is correct..... I'm jet lagged and didn't sleep much last night but I think I got it right.
